Mobile Design Book Gives Great Perspective
This mobile design book by Cameron Moll is a great resource for anyone who wants to start designing for mobile devices. One of my favorite aspects of the book is that it focuses on the mobile user (our learners), not the mobile device. One central theme is that you should really see how learners use the data in the mobile context. Many of the administrators that I’ve spoken to believe that they have to somehow provide mobile access to all their data. It is important to remember that learners don’t need access to all data when they are on the go, just data that’s relevant to them when they are mobile. If you’re into developing mobile learning applications or mobile applications of any kind, this book is worth a read. It’s $19 to download the PDF, you can download it here.
