Table from the Study - EFFECTIVENESS OF MOBILE LEARNING IN DISTANCE EDUCATION

I came across this study in one of my web searches and I was pleseantly surprised because it’s an actual research report and not just another technological opinion piece that infers that mobile will be “big” (no offense to anyone who writes about that, I do it too). The study is titled, EFFECTIVENESS OF MOBILE LEARNING IN DISTANCE EDUCATION, and written by Dr. Muhammad Imran YOUSUF. Approximately 500 students from all over Pakistan were surveyed and the results certainly suggest a high acceptance rate for mobile learning among students. Habits in the developing world can be a leading indicator toward the trends we will have here in the US in the near future. Based on that and a continuing trend toward acceptance here, I think we’ll start to see greater expectations for mobile learning among students and corporations and learning institutions rising up to meet those expectations. This study shows that students want mobile learning, we just have to provide it.
