How can you get started?

This is a series of posts related to our mobile learning session at the GMU/DAU E-Learning Symposium – Easy/Free ways to publish mobile learning content

There are lot’s of ways to get started. The mobile web is prevailing and devices are gaining capability. App stores offer access to native apps and web sites formatted for the mobile device (web apps) are gaining popularity. Find out what  your learners will need to know when they are mobile and target your content to meet their needs. Learning can come in the form of:

  • Blogs and microblogs (Twitter, etc)
  • Web apps and native apps
  • Podcasts
  • Location aware applications (gaining popularity)

Mashups of several different mobile technologies (i.e. location aware web/native apps with hooks to blogs, etc.)
